Hood hinges

im looking at doing something to my hood hinges. I looked at eddie motor sport replacements and man over 600 bucks. They look nice but IMO not worth that. So i figured id have them chrome plated. There's a company here in houston thats does a great job.

My question is do yall think the chrome will chip or peel around the "coiled part" from moving up and down?

Common you can't compare eddies agains chromed oem's . I did my own with universal gas struts but I know there's a company called wanrods that do something similar but not as expensive as eddies.

Donno about chrome ,but is'nt chrome non flexible? [emoji848] That company you mention should be able to answer that.

After thinking about About it I will probably leave the hinge part as is and just have the upper brace part chromed
