Help understanding dual battery setup

As is my habit of resurrecting old threads, wanted to ask if anyone knows about the existence of a driver side positive battery cable that runs to the starter and alternator?

That is some thing that you will have to fabricate. GM ran the wiring from the battery on the Passenger side to the starter as it was the shortest run, least costly. Also the alt was fed with a smaller gauge wire that went to the starter cable(again to keep the cost down) and in many cases had a fusible link in it.

I could make them for you, or customize my dual battery kit changing those two cables. A good pic of my dual kit is on page 8 of this thread...
