This is an oldddddd thread. In the interest of participation though, I've had a ton of replacement halogen bulbs over the years. Silverstars suck, PIAAs suck, basically anything with any kind of blue (or other colored) tint on the glass is garbage. It robs you of light output and just generally looks bad IMO.
The best factory style halogen bulbs I've found to date are GE Nighthawks. The standard ones, not the Ultras or whatever. No tint on the glass, slightly lower resistance (so slightly more wattage) than factory, and nice usable light color.
