Well after I canned my Suburban and swore off of ever going back...
Ive got a chance to get a 1993 ECSB 4x4 for an unbelievable price.
Its got the 6.5 diesel which has recently had the head gaskets done, the electronic thing that I cant remember has been heatsinked & relocated, some other filtering upgrades, etc.
Also had the 4L80E rebuilt in it a couple years ago along with an aftermarket deep pan. New tires, new shocks, some other stuff too probably. has 220k on it.
The best part is Im getting it for $2k
Anything particular I should look out for on these? After my Suburban debacle Id hate to get into another lemon...
Also, with the deeper pan, does this require a different dipstick?
Whatever else you can warn me of... Ive only had one diesel before and it was in a Ford with the 7.3 IDI... I understand the 6.5 turbo in this truck is totally different.
I pick it up in two weeks!!!
