yeah, the pre '96 is slightly different IIRC, and the 98+ carrier is even more different than the pre 98.

Yes you are correct Al, fuel pump for the TBI is the same from 87-94 IIRC. I'm not sure the differences in the sending units for the 96+ models trucks, aside from the pump putting out 4-5X the psi. But I'd imagine that the pump replacement wouldn't differ a ton~!

yeah, I just meant I think the sending unit is a little different too, but I could be mistaken, they're both pump-on-a-stick types, where the 98+ has a bucket carrier for the pump and the sender feeds to the PCM before the cluster, the earlier units feed directly to the cluster without the PCM involved.
