Thank you for the follow up, Eurocopter. Found a set of good forged LCA’s for my ‘95 K2500 Suburban on Friday. Should have them next week. Going to need new bushings so glad to have your feedback on the Hummer bushings. Thanks!!

Currently cutting a 2x4 steel tube for 2" receiver. I'll cut out a hole in steel tube for receiver, weld in, then weld unit in between uprights on push bar at bumper level. I'll weld a flat bracket to rear of receiver to also bolt to bumper. Picking up winch tray for receiver...
Decided on rubber hose to cover defective (looks) cross bar bent/formed wrong on push bar. I could cut out a section and remake it but that's a lot of work, heh.
Would like to get new mirrors in tonight!!!

Ok people. Here is the definitive answer!!! The 2004 Hummer bushings above are the exact match for the **FORGED**lower control arms. The Prothane bushings are sloppy at best, I ordered/installed those first, they are too small. That person should be banned considering the amount of work involved...
NOTE: The prothane bushings were so loose I removed them and reinstalled the factory bushings after guys at 4x4 parts demonstrated the control arm jerking out of position just by turning the steering wheel.
NOTE 2: I had to use handheld press to get new bushings in. I froze them to -7 degrees in deep freeze and used Olive oil cooking spray sprayed inside bushing holes in lca's. (I also cleaned holes with a mild cylinder hone) Putting calipers on all; (lower front was chief concern) Factory (used) bushings were 45.5 mm and Prothanes were 44 mm, then the Mevotechs were 48 mm. Also installed new GM LCA bolts with smaller heads (18mm)
BTW; absolutely no metal shell bushings will work for the forged lca's.

1997 Chevrolet K2500 Suburban-454-4L80E-14 bolt-116k original miles.
ok so I never noticed it before but mine is diving to the left under heavy braking, just ordered a set of the mevotech *edit canceled the order on the mevotech, found out that the correct poly bushings are 3.3185G for hummer h2 + chevy trucks that have the same lca

Thanks for this info, the prothane seem correct.if it weren't for you posting this i would have ran around for years with a dangerous problem.

so i swapped out the prothane 7-206-BL bushings and went with energy suspension 3.3185G for hummer h2, only have one side done .but here are the differences.

update* huge difference in handling what i thought was just cons from running huge tires, was actually these bushings.it would shimmy a little at 65-70mph and act a little weird on big bumps.

i can now tell the shimmy is coming from the rear, none in front anymore, drives straight, and bumps feel amazing compared to the weird slight rocking before.

was a pain to redo these if your running forged arms get the correct bushings!!

The forged arms use rubber bushings with no sleeves.

Rockauto doesn't have much listed, as I think they're going NLA. It's been said that the H2 bushings work, and given the similarities in the control arms, I'm not sure why they're even a different part number.

Here's a 2004 H2 part: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=389981&cc=1431816&pt=7532

Here's a kit for both front and rear (H2): https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=6691816&cc=1431816&pt=7532

I've never changed mine, but I wish I would have. I had my control arms off back in 2007, when I blasted and painted them.

PART NUMBER?

So these are the correct bushings for a 97 chevy k2500 for forged arms
