26015779 shaft not discontinued, just on small backorder, and the 11610555 bolt there is plenty of inventory on.
Excellent. I heard from two other sources that it was disco'd. Pleased to find out it isn't.

Can you provide the original application(s) for that shaft? I'm thinking C3500HD, prior to 95--but it might be nice to know for sure.

Have you decided which one you’ll use yet GM 26015779 or the Cunningham?

I have not, it's on the list of things to decide though.
And that’s the special longer bolt, right?
Yep

For anyone still curious I decided to go with the C3500 shaft and a RedHead steering box. I'll report back. Same price and same function, so I figured if the factory GM lasted 30 years and 200K+ then sure lets try another @Caman96 @MrPink
I more than likely will be going with the OEM shaft also. I just need to see if any other Dealers have it, and would be willing to transfer it to the one I will be working for.

Would the Cunningham shaft also require the longer special bolt? It looks like I'm about to get ripped off by GM Parts Direct...

I think that steering shaft should be sitting on your new desk when you get there! :deal:
