I like the bumper, but hopefully the hood will look better than this one:

They just don't go with the lines a GMT400 lays down IMHO. The GMT400 has a clean and light look to it, these make it bulbous and chunky. But different strokes for different folks!

On the plus side: it would give you a touch more room for a Cummins swap!

:)

OP: truck is bitchin'

Nice and clean.

like the bumper modifications, the hood not so much. But willing to watch and see where it goes and hoping it turns out better than the ones I've seen. It will at least be high quality work judging by what you've accomplished so far.

:)

Do all those hoods have to be custom made or can I buy one and bolt on?

Gotta build 'em.

But I'd say if you wait a while, it's only a matter of time before some aftermarket manufacturer starts bangin' 'em out.

The more popular it gets, the more likely someone will try to cash in on it.....

the one on the red dually is great, I'll be doing one sometime. IMO it does flow good with the lines of our trucks, Alot better then the generic cowl hoods most people run.

The truck looks amazing! The bumper is cool, but I'm not a fan of the hood. The old hood looks so much better!! Just My opinion though. Welcome to the site!

That's a beautiful truck that you've built! Great color!
That bumper mod was discussed on the forum pretty extensively, about 1.5 years ago. I've got a bunch o' pix of other trucks that have had that done to them, but I'd have to do some serious diggin' to find 'em.
I believe it was Dagen_1 (I may be wrong) that was going to give it a shot, but I think that that got shelved.
Would love to do this to my black '98, but not quite tucked as much as your's. Do you have some measurement numbers of the amounts that you sliced & diced outa the bumper, or did you test fit, cut, test fit, cut? A step by step build thread would be really helpful, if you have that info to pass along.
Love the engine! Had one of those in an S-15 Jimmy. One of the best looking SBC's ever built!
Oh yea...Welcome!
