airbag module location

So from I can tell the airbag control module is supposed to be somewhere under the drivers side seat. I can see the audio amp and the power seat box, but no airbag module. Is it under it under the carpet or something? Is there a way to get to it without cutting the carpet or removing the seat?

guess I should specify its for the 1995 Suburban

gotta take the seat out and maybe the back seat, just depends where your carpet ends. Its a square box that is raw aluminum in color about 4inches square.

For your 1995 model it's under the dash kind of towards the passenger side of the steering column; silver box hanging off a bracket from the firewall. 1995 only. Later years yes it's below the carpet under the driver's seat.

OK, I forgot 95's were kind of the black sheeps of the 400s.

found it, just to the passenger side of the column. Thanks. Too bad the floor vent actuator is in the way to pull it. Yank it out when I install my alarm.
