Yes I did since they don't have near the current draw as the factory rear defroster. I planned ahead when doing the mirrors thinking I might eventually add a defrost grid to my topper rear window and after some advice on here figured that would be too much current draw for this switch so I just use a trigger wire tied into the hot leads going to the mirrors to trigger a relay for the topper window defroster. Id suggest if you already have factory rear window defrost and want to add heated mirrors I'd recommend putting the mirrors on a relay and using the switch to trigger it. I never did find where I could buy the factory defrost switch new and I've put too much work into this old '93 to worry about overloading the switch and burning it to the ground so I went on the safe side lol!
