Weird issue with AC/Defrost

Well I for one don't care if it makes sense to someone else who will never drive my truck. Trucks without A/C wouldn't have to worry about it, why should I? I want the control, I'm gonna take it.

Add a manual choke, while you're at it.

And manual spark advance, with a lever on the steering column like the Model T.

Maybe you should put a hand-crank on the engine in case the starter motor fails.
