Alright, I have a 1996 GMC Sierra SLT Z71 that I just purchased and going through troubleshooting all the small problems, I came across a fried harness that plugs into the headlamp switch.
Why it's fried has been answered and not the topic of discussion here.

My question is this, where are yall getting replacements of these? Rock Auto has some, and LMC has one. Does anyone have any experience with either?

The Standard Motor Products one from Rock Auto is 59.99

The unknown manufacturer one from LMC is 39.99 - not knowing where this comes from makes me a little leery.

However, if they are the same or similar quality part, I'm willing to spend 20.00 less. But if it's a far inferior part, I'd rather avoid it all together.

Thoughts?

Personally I try to stick to GM/ACDelco for electrical. When I had to replace the headlight switch in my '97 Suburban I went with an ACDelco D1523H.

As many OE parts become less available, my next choice has been " Standard Motor Parts " . They have been around a long time. Unlike many of the " overnite pop-up" aftermarket parts. I would purchase the standard parts without hesitation. The LMC may be same part, as they are reselling many parts.
