Just finished reinstalling a new headliner and carpet in my ‘92 Sierra, figured I’d post some pictures and add some links to materials, first time working on a car/truck. I’m just glad the trim clips I fixed held up to the reinstall! Read a few threads well before the project, so thanks for the help. YouTube link is for a video giving instructions on interior trim removal, it was key.

Bed Liner:

Carpet:

Headliner (honestly turned out much better than expected, plastic with foam coating underneath the fabric covering:

Picked up a bed lamp cover, window seals from LMC truck as well. Insulation and sound deadening is 80mm Noico from Amazon, roller from LMC. Fitted dash carpet and window shade come from cover craft.

Next up is the exterior, replacing the grill, headlights, bumper skirt, door hinges and rollers (sagging doors on both sides), wheel well trim, wheel cap cover, engine fan cover, and slowly start collecting some of the interior switches for a much later dash project. One day hope to sand and paint the truck in matching colors, replace the wheels, add some running boards and a spray in liner (hence using a plastic insert for the needy couple years).

What did you think of the fit of the roof liner? I bought mine from LMC and it was too small so that it barely meet the door frame trims over the doors and the self adhesive velcro strips for above the windscreen came unstuck on the first hot day due to the adhesive softening, admittedly my truck is black but I expected better.

The fit on mine was pretty good, I thought it would be flimsier than it was. I didn’t have any width issues, it was almost a tad too wide pushing up on the a-pulled trim clips but ended up fitting snuggly. I didn’t install the Velcro, between the sun shades and trim, figured the plastic wouldn’t sag. Honestly thought it was pretty solid overall, no movement at all, but disappointing to see others with a different experience.
