does anyone know where to get the spring for the clutch pedal? The OP said he got a new one but where do they have them? Autozone doesn't have them and I didn't find any on eBay. Just wondering if it's a dealer only item. TIA!

I should be picking up a NV4500 out of a 1991 K2500 in the next two weeks. I'm going to route you did, getting everything from a parts truck. So I'll definitely be looking back on this post for advice. Nice write up.

Has anyone on here swapped from a 4L80e to a nv4500?

Off the top of my head, I don't know.

I will say I know the 4L80E is longer and thus you will also need different drivelines and crossmember.

I was planning on either moving my cross member or making another one but idk wtf I'm gonna do about the shaft, maybe out of a long box? I have a crew cab short box, you think a long box would make up the difference?
