Hey Everyone. Looking for some info. I'm deciding between having my trans rebuilt or finding a new (to me) 4L60e for my 1998 k1500. Does anyone know of a good resource to see what years, models, etc are a direct bolt-in?

Are there any good "rules of thumb" on which ones will bolt and plug in directly?

Thanks for your help!

Disclaimer: I really have no idea.

That said, the first five pages of results on car-part.com only list '98-'00 as a direct interchange for a '98 K1500 with a 350, so I would be hesitant to try anything other than those years. The good news is there's a ton of them in salvage yards.
