So I've been doing research about a tbi setup on a 383. My engine should be around 450hp and 475 ft/pds of torque.

So will the system work without doing a computer mod? Can I just so the tbi mod and bigger injectors from a 454?

It's a 1990 c1500 350 right now...

you will need a tune (not sure if you have stock computer) otherwise it will run like crap and kill your power numbers

You'll need a more powerful fuel pump in addition to the computer tune

You could go with something like a fast tb setup ( lots of aftermarket companies sell universal tb setups). Ease of a carb with reliability of fi

tbi will run it but youll need to mod/tune/ and support it based on the engine, doable yes, easy no, you can toss a carb on it use an aftermarket setup or mpfi.

You will definitely need a tune, especially if you run larger injectors and increase the fuel pressure to feed the new beast. You could do a carb intake, TBI adapter plate, BB TBI unit, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, 80# injectors, and Vortec (EP381) fuel pump. With those injectors, you'll need about 30 psi of fuel pressure to support more than 450 HP.

Have you come to any conclusions on this? I am greatly interested since I have just bought a 1990 C1500 with a Mike Pridgeon Racing Engines' 383 stroker. I am a newbie to this site and this type of truck.
