Wanted to see if anyone has any pictures or insight running 255/85r16s. I’ve seen a few threads with pictures but there aren’t many so any info and pictures would be great. Thanks

I’m going to put new tires on the ole girl soon and I’ve got 285s cooper ats. They don’t looks like 285 I guess because they are worn down. But I saw this video and these are 255s and to they look pretty good. I planned on just getting 285 km3s but the km3 255s look very narrow from pictures I’ve seen on google. The tires in the video on the gmt are toyos and they are slightly wider and taller than the bfgs

I like them and don’t think they look narrow. But, then again, I don’t like tires “I” think look too wide!

@JS45 I'm running 285/75s, which is only about an inch wider than 255/85s

Know those are all great pics, just trying to give you an idea of the size. I've done no trimming of any kind, and I don't get any rubbing even at full turn

EDIT: those are BFG KO2s btw

These are 245’s on OEM steel 6.5 wheel. If I could get a good price on 255/85/16’s I’d pull the trigger!

255/85's are tough to find. That being said, I have a set for my '00 Denali for winter snow plowing. Incredible traction due to such a small contact patch!

Like others have said: pictures, or it didnt happen. Well, I'm not plowing this winter, so no need for winter tires, therefore no pics...

Now, driving on dry pavement, these dont wiggle or sway while carrying the plow. Even with such a tall sidewall. Of course, I'm running them at max pressure up front, load D, 65 psi (I'm actually running 70)
Anyway, if you want them, and can find them, go for it. Especially if you need pizza cutters for traction on snowy roads. If its skinny you want, its easier to find 235/85/16
