It will be a beast one day...
Worked vortec heads
Bigger cam
4bbl intake with adapter (for now)
Long tubes
Crossover with high flow cats
Strait through mufflers
Nv4500
14 bolt semi float w/posi
Custom chip
When it's out of dd status, probably a built carbed 454
ls would have only been about 1600 correct? and how is your power gains? what are your specs?not that much did all the port work myself, roller rockers and heads were a fresh rebuild from a friends camaro as was the intake, the pistons are wisecos im a supplier at work, had the whole block polished and chamfered which i did myself. ported the tb myself, upgraded the fuel pressure, added a tpi pump for 20 bucks from a friends camaro. exhaust was on the truck, redid the rings, gaskets, timing set etc, cam was a summit special with lifters for 100 bucks. msd stuff i did with my tuneup when i first got it and transferred it over. alltogether not really that much a few hundred, now my tbi 383 i spent about 2600 and that was worth it mostly for the learning experience and breaking my truck in half, but i wouldve gone ls.
Heads, cam and a tune should do that
why dont you just carb the damn thing? you can get the same mileage but utilize all your power. a carb intake off jegs for vortec heads is 130 bucks.
tune as in chip? i heard tune cant be done unless its a 96+?
Yeah, a chip. Still getting used to calling it a chip
agreed. You won't lose that much mpgs if any. If I was doing my build again, I would go ls. That is where aftermarket is gearing towards with parts. It's a lot cheaper to make big power out of an ls with all the turbo stuff nowadays

It's only an extra $5-7 to run a tank of premium vs regular. I run 93, so I can't remember the difference in price, I never even look. I think it's like $0.30 a gallon maybe. It's worth it to me.hahaha i dont waant to run premium fuel though. hurts my wallet too bad.
