I added this question in my post about the MPFI clicking
3 months and maybe 1000 miles and #2 is non stop spraying when the pump is on9yes we pulled plenum top and could see it. Drove about 3 miles to my shop when it started running rough. Pretty sure I used the Standard brand.
keep with them, go back to poppet valves?
or heck figure out a way to use some miniram or Ramjet intake with the factory accessories and throttle cable?

It would be a little easier if you did not have to tear all of the accessories off to get there! Heck even pulling valve cover you have to tear the motor down!

Like you said, getting at it is a headache enough. I know plenty have used the Standard with no issues, but some have and getting the metering valve to snap in seems to be one of the issues. I read all the time people saying they are just a re-boxed Acdelco. I’ve had them side by side and they are not. At least the one I had. Yes, the Standard uses the Delphi Injectors, but the rest is different. Right or wrong, I chose the Acdelco.
Edit: Your thread from December 2023, you say you installed a Delphi spider.

Thanks, yes not 100% sure it was a Delphi now. Might have to give an AC Delco a shot. I know it was not AC Delco.
Possible it’s one bad injector? They can be purchased separately.

I saw single too-but then the time gamble of another going out and the time to remove the top end! Having a hard time finding a AC Delco complete spider other than on Amazon for $852.00!

Update-the old set has a Delphi mumber on it. The plastic nozzles once snapped in are heck to get out often stuck in the manifold so far 1/2 came out on the injector, half 30 minutes per nozzle to get out. Last 2 going to try and tap it with a 5/16 tap to bite into it and pull out. Don't trust an Amazon or Ebay supplier after this deal.
AC Delco is on indefinite back order. Will go Standard from OReiley and at least get a local warranty.
Going to spray some oil in the cylinder that got hosed down and change the oil also.

I’ve seen it recommended to add Vaseline to injector before sticking them into manifold. Not sure if that would help remove them later.
