Well, who would have thought that the new distributor cap would be bad. The last thing I thought it would be was what it was. Found out that the cap was shorting between the #3 and #5 cylinders inside the cap, but you couldn't see it. It's inside the plastic where the 2 cylinders meet...

There is a reason I have started using Mercruiser units. Even the GM AC Delco units are garbage now. So far the Merc cap has been great.
