^Ditto, if you live in the salt belt you will, most likely, have to buy new u-bolts.

Howdy. I have a question also in regards to 14 bolt semi float axles. I have an 88 Chevy k1500. I found a 88 gmc c2500 with the 14 sf. Is the c2500 14 bolt semi float able to be swapped to my k1500 or would I need to find a k2500 with the 14 bolt semi float? Has anyone here done this or is it not compatible? Thanks in advance.

You'll need to find a K series with the 14 bolt SF, the C2500 is a few inches narrower. Some of the K1500's had the 14 bolt, you can look that up on car-part.com and see what's around you.

I have a 90 light duty 3/4ton with 14 bolt 6lug and I want to put it in my 90 gmc sierra st I know it's the right one not being a 4wd one I've contacted Moser on new axles but there rather pricey so I'm thinking of just having the axles drilled for 5 lug and new drums from summit for and ss truck

The hub center is different between the 5 lug and 6 lug. If you just redrill the hub face and drums, your 15" wheels still won't sit flush on the hub.

What's wrong with going 6 lug? It's less painful of a swap, but a little more costly. Just install the 2wd rear axle, and c2500 6 lug front rotors and get a new set of wheels/tires. 16s are much easier to find than 15s lately.
Oh, and thanks for reviving a 5 year old dead thread.
