I know a lot of people hate on the 6.5, but I it appears you've put a lot of time and money into yours. Would you prefer a gasser?

hell no! the 6.5 is the reason i got this truck! i wanted a diesel and i have been a diesel tech for 15 years. i love it. years back i had a 6.2 blazer and loved it. got killer fuel milage. few reliability and performance mods and its a great engine! lot of bad info out there on the 6.5 and because people dont know how to work on them they just fell apart. mine smoked my friends 01 dodge with a 24v cummins with a edge with juice chip, off the line and from a roll up to 100, so it can hold its own, even being as big as it is. and with all the fuel killing mods i did i still get 13 mpg in the summer!

got the cap lights wired up, still gotta put loom on and hang wire but hooked up, could not wait to see light up....

thanks dude....like your user name! i had 2 montes! 85 ss, hard top, pretty stock, and a 86 ss with ttops, cowl hood, 125 shot of nos, t-5 5speed conversion, 4;11 posi rear.....i love them. i have a 67 skylark with a 455 now.

Thanks, Me too! I have had 14 Montes. #12 is my baby, 86 SS hardtop and #14 is the daily 01 SS. And my kid has a 84 SS.

Post a pic of the Skylark when you get a chance. A Bodys are sweet!

got my frost fighter rear window defroster kit for the cap back window, nice little kit! $93 shipped to my house. comes with a nice button with light and timer, i might wire to factory defrost, but the button looks real nice and would go pretty well with our trucks i think.
