Are you using a 3157 in the upper position. What you're describing may be caused by using a 3156. 3157's are a dual filament bulb. 3156's are a single filament.

3357 bulbs have the same "low" filament as the 3057 and 3157, but the "high" filament is 40 mcd (compared to the ~30 ish of the 3057 and 3157). I put 3357 bulbs (they have a grey base if I remember correctly) in place of the oem 3157 about 3 months ago and my bulbs are still working. I expect them to go out sometime this year, becuase they have a short 400 hour lifespan- which is the main disadvantage.

well yeah then I don't know what the problem is then.....I guess this isn't a SIMPLE mod. I am still very confused over the 2 write ups I have read. They are both different and apparently neither works for me. Can someone please make me a real write up that explains everything clearly with good photos?

Until then, I have just put it back together as stock.

ill give whoever a good rep for helping me.

When something mechanical is broke, you can hear it, see it, feel it. When something electrical is broke, it F'n just doesn't work!

speaking of this...any idea why one of my high beams is not working. I thought it was the bulb, but I replaced it and still nothing..............

Bad ground possibly. Use a voltage tester and see if you are getting power/ground at the plug
