Can anyone give me a definite answer on how long the screws need to be?

I'm on the fence about either installing my red OHC, or selling it. I'm going to be pissed if I accidentally go through my roof.

if you do like I did and predrill your holes, you can feel the drill bit go through the inner skin. then just thread your screws in with a screwdriver, and you have pretty much no way of going through the roof. I'll check tomorrow to see how long the screws I used are, but I'm sure I could've used longer ones. I think mine are only threaded in just a few threads.

As scary as this may be...what colors do you have and do any of them have the blank panel instead of the rear hvac controls?

I just used a small drill bit with a piece of rubber fuel line as a drill stop. Poked a small hole in and then used really shore self tappers. Its not that heavy so it doesnt need a whole lot. But since my truck was reg cab I had to use more screws. I didnt have a problem but I cant remember how long the screws were. Not crazy long though. I had the sunglasses slot, a cd slot in the back, and a slot for a wallet or papers or something right behind my blank up front.

If anyone is interested...I have a tan one with either a blank panel or either type of hvac controls. The blank panel is in it currently.
