I agree but it’s better than ruining new shoes with the old drums.The way I understand it that's a massive crapshoot these days. Not uncommon to get the unbalanced and untrue.

Well he already said it’s making nasty noises so it’s obviously eating up the new parts…Depends on the condition of the old drums.
