Is the 291 Knock Counts during a warm-up session like this
something that is expected/always seen, or is it a hint that the KS is failing via the
hypersensitive mode?
Im going to verify my exhaust (OE still) isn't knocking on anything as well. At one point it was, but had been corrected. Will have to double check it.

I did go back to the beginning of the log with zero RPM and 97+ KPa on the MAP sensor. The KCs happened at startup. After that there were no more.
So let's say that during this proposed test the Knock Count stays at zero, the timing
stabilizes, and even the cold idle smooths out?
You won't get any then but, even with the 291 counts on the log, with no more, timing won't be affected. Only when you get a burst of KCs will the PCM pull timing for a finite period then, timing will go back to commanded based on your SA or PE, etc tables.

Hi all :) I'd like to have a look at this data log but I can't figure out how to get rid of that ''txt'' term.I'd like to compare it to my data logs since we have identical Burbs.I'm not very good at computer talk lol

I just clicked on the file name in windows explorer(? The folder icon) and added it in the rename window....I'm horrible at explaining it.

What I did was go into explorer (Windows 11), then Downloads, right clicked on the file and deleted the ".txt" Then I went into TunerPro RT and clicked on "Acquisitions"\ "Load Log File", looked in the tree, "Downloads"\ "ColdFeb6.xsl"

I'm using A219 $OE TP5v159.adx from Gearhead-EFI That's the latest one I found without looking too hard

Note; if you open the .txt file and try to rename it, you'll only get jibberish, you need to rename it before trying to open it. HTH

Here, I forgot...

I've been using A217 0D v250 from the tunerpro.net site. Its called out as one option but I'm not sure the difference between them. Tried to figure out which is appropriate on gearhead-efi and got swamped in the plethora of information on there....

To borrow PlayingwithTBI's screengrab, the icon circled lets you rename the file and " should" let you delete the .txt extension.

@grampadirt Assuming this is in Windows 10, and if termite's suggestion doesn't work for you...

If you open the file explorer and click "View" in the top left there should be an option with a checkbox that says "File name extensions." Make sure the box next to that is checked. Once it is, you should see a few letters at the end of every file in the directory. At this point you can click any file once to highlight it, then click it again (slowly, no double-click) to rename it or alter the file extension.

With the engine in the warm condition there seems to be variations in SA that coincide with variations in the MAP. Check your vacuum hose for the MAP sensor and check to see if there may be fuel in the hose and MAP. I read that there was an issue with the MAP getting fuel logged on some models and the factory fix was to raise the MAP up higher than the vacuum port on the TB.

They're somewhat interchangeable (I looked at the $OD too), like I said the $OE I have is a newer version but, it shouldn't make a difference. Here's the link to everything 7427. @EagleMark, RIP, has the $OD in this. He also has a bunch of .bins, Dave w built a spreadsheet for tuning too.
