I'm Awesome
So I actually just looked, 96 is a standalone year on the hose. Probably has a revised bends on the pump end to run around the larger aluminum brackets on the L31. Get the 96 hose, it uses your bracketry and gear box.

Yep get the output fitting and the 96 hose to delete the EVO.So I can use a 95 or 96 hose without the evil kit directly to the back of my 99 pump that’s what you’re saying???

Get the 96 hose and what kind of output fitting what do you mean output fitting??Yep get the output fitting and the 96 hose to delete the EVO.
I went a bit different way on the 87 I just put a L31 into. I put a newer van reservoir on the 87 pump and bolted the 87 pump to the L31 bracket. The 87 hose fit around the L31 bracket perfectly.
Do I need anything from the evo kit to run the 96 hose? Any of the evo kit fittings?Get the 96 hose and what kind of output fitting what do you mean output fitting??
The outlet fitting is the large barrel nut looking reducer piece in the kit. That fitting came on any GM pump from about 1980 forward. Just snag one off a GMT400 TBI truck or a 96. Those GM kits are far overpriced for what they are. I like Sunsoung hoses, same hose you would buy from the GM parts department.Do I need anything from the evo kit to run the 96 hose? Or does the 96 style hose directly screw into the back of my pump once I remove the evo solenoid
Got it can that output fitting “barrel nut”be Purchased also at an auto parts or on Amazon if I don’t want to grab one from the bone yard ??The outlet fitting is the large barrel nut looking reducer piece in the kit. Which is why I said grab the parts out of a junkyard pump. Technically you want all of these pieces out of a non-evo pump to properly delete the EVO. Personally I would want them out of a GMT400 so that the control valve provides the designed steering effort and feel for the earlier GMT400 truck. I can probably find the GM part numbers so you atleast have an interchange to go off.Trying to avoid buying the Evo delete altogether if all I need is a 96 hose that’s what I mean sorry to go back and forth lol
