That's not been my experience, but probably why drop shackles are adjustable. At 4/6, mine still had a bit of a stink bug stance. 4/7 leveled it out.

255/45's & 295/40's on 20"x 8.5" & 20"x 10".@sewlow what was your wheel and tire combo? The op has 27" fronts and 28" rears, that's quite a bit. May be part of the problem.
I've never been able to drop a truck that low on factory size combo without rubbage.255/45's & 295/40's on 20"x 8.5" & 20"x 10".
29" & 29.3" tall.
Slightly taller than the stock 235/75-15's @ 28.9" tall. Not enough to mess with the speedo.
Not sure if it's hitting underneath the control arms or what , didn't see any bumper stops maybe because not being level..So where is it rubbing?
Yup I have adjustable shackles going to raise it up an inch and relocate my shocks. At 4/6, mine still had a bit of a stink bug stance. 4/7 leveled it out.

I'm missing one leaf spring no need to take out or replace O/L but check out front hangers ?Factory is 4 leafs + an overload.
No need to go to a longer O/L. I'd say that reason the overload is up tight against the next spring would be, could be, is that there is a leaf missing. If so, that would cause the rest of the spring pack to sag down against the O/L.
Take a look at those front hangars. If the mounting point of the leaf eye is above the top of the frame rail, then it's a drop hangar.
It's been a long time but IIRC, the factory hangars us a stove bolt style with a round head. (No shoulders on the head) Could be wrong on that though.
Back of the wheel well, bottom of the firewall. Only spot it rubs & even then only on hard suspension compressions or turning tight against the stop.I've never been able to drop a truck that low on factory size combo without rubbage.
I will try using that tire size for the front , how about the rear tires. ?I've never been able to drop a truck that low on factory size combo without rubbage.
Figuring out what's hitting what is the first order of business. Not sure if it's hitting underneath the control arms or what , didn't see any bumper stops maybe because not being level..
