Ok, thank you. So essentially if I want to run two vehicles off one remote I am going to have to get a new unit installed in each vehicle to pair with the LCD remote?
Depending on the age if the unit you have now, you might be able to just buy a new LCD remote and learn it to your current unit, then you buy another complete new unit and install it on the second vehicle and cross learn the remotes for the 2 vehicle operation. If you current unit is to old to accept the LCD remote, then yes, two new units will be required.....

If you have it handy (maybe when you get home) I'd appreciate it.
You will be able to find those factory wires (light blue and black/white) in the drivers door harness ...... door side will be the switch and the truck side will be the actuator....
You must be registered for see images attach

Very good. What LCD do you recommend? I don't need anything fancy just functional!!
I do appreciate all of the assistance.

Ya for sure! Glad i could be of some assistance. Unfortunately the LCD unit is top of the line, so I'm sure there will be lots of features you won't use. The Viper 4706v....

Thanks, I just looked up my remote, 7656V, and it does say it can run two systems or Car1 and Car2. Uses the "f" side button to switch between.
I guess I need to determine what system I have in my truck and research some more.
At $250+ for an LCD remote it's just not worth it!

I ordered a 4105v (I think). Looking at your wiring diagram, do I need 4 relays (2 for each door) or should I just wire it to lock/unlock the driver's door?

Edit: :doh2: I don't know what I was thinking, maybe the windows instead of door locks but, it's looks like they'll work just fine the way you drew it. Please disregard this post.

I'm sure your remote does do 2 car operation.... now you just need to find an old unit to match your remotes and you will be golden
I knew a guy who put one of the old remote starts on a manual transmission Dodge Dakota. He ran it into the fence at work twice.
Yep..... I got fired from a job cause I wouldn't put the old ones on manual transmissions. Screw that! That's a liability lawsuit waiting to happen!!! I'm not saying i haven't done them, just not for a retail customer.

I installed a cheapo keyless entry from Amazon. I can't remember the brand. You have to be dang near on the door for it to work, but it's better than fumbling through keys every time.
