Tried setting my base idle today following the procedure. It was bouncing from 300-550 in gear with parking brake applied and IAC unplugged. Got it to 575 stablish and in park with the IAC unplugged, and up to ~650-700 in park with the IAC plugged in. I am no expert but i did not see a gap between the blades and the ports, meaning seems like fuel was just kinda pooling on top of the blades. Sounded much better idle but I dont think I resolved the issue with still a slight miss. I did notice my IAC plug was falling apart and may have been a bad connection (could hear erratic clicking while closing until I held connection in place then it was more consistent). I will redo my plug tomorrow, and order ESC pigtail and ICM to IC pigtail (anyone know rock auto part # for this?)

I used to see that fairly often. Starts out as a small hole in the insulation where the pointy probe went through, but eventually the insulation tears open exposing more and more conductor.

Fix all that.
Looking at my grounds closer with better light, I reterminated the 4 wires on the thermostat housing. What circuits do those 4 wires ground? They were in rough shape. I also am going get my firewall to frame ground stap tomorrow. That one was broke and hanging, didnt know about that one.

Those are the ground wires for the ECM.
Could this cause my issues? I was always working with the hood light. This time I was in full sun and never noticed how bad they were. Havent got to run it yet, kids were damn near climbing on top of me while I was fixing it.

That's always a possibility - pretty good probability. Good grounds are essential as well as good connections on the other side!

I also had some errors while I was data logging on the bottom info tab. Idk what the errors were or where they were recorded but it was like 1 error every 20 secs
What kind of errors?

At the bottom left here when connected to ecu. Doesnt show now. I guess it's a ecu to software connection error count? If I unplug cable while connected the error counts shoot in to the thousands really quick.

Just snuck out to test run, same issue

Those are pretty crispy! If those are PCM ground wires then I could see that causing all kinds of weird issues.
Unfortunately didnt make a difference. I sat in idle for about 10 minutes and idled good. As soon as I put it in drive sitting still it idled real low and started shuddering, put it in park and idle speed was noticeably lower than before. Of course this wasnt up to operation temp. I'm getting frustrated with it, and my wife even more! Lol

So i reterminated the IAC pigtail and took a test drive this morning. Idled much better, but still a slight shudder when up to temp. I failed to readjust my TPS after the base idle adjustment, so now it reads .63V @ 4%. Also, i noticed at hwy speeds the IAC sits at 60counts, and when idling it is at 0 counts. Could this be due to the plug being messed up when i adjusted my base idle? Attached log file.

Also, my knock counts stays at 5 the entire log file? Is this indication that the knock sensor isnt working??? When i replaced my starter a few months ago, the knock sensor plug was held in with silicone and was in BAD shape. It broke when i messed with it, and i installed a new pigtail on it.
