I admit I have not read the entire thread so this might have been covered. How old is the battery? If you are at two to three years it just might be getting on the edge. At that point parasitic loads tend to count more . You might offset it for a while by getting the briefcase size solar battery maintainer at good old Harbor freight. I find the larger version more useful than the small one. Might be worth a try.

Battery new die hard from advanced. Wouldnt put it pass defect though lol since theres not rep on the quality yet:) been thinking about a maintainer but was nervous on which one to get lol. Any good? I know harbor freight got mixed reviews

Yes and as far as gmt400s idk lol. I wouldnt pass a Escalade with the option though lol.

From what I understan . Here in houston there must of been an option for alarm install. Reason why I say that is cause back then champion chevrolet dad bought the 98 suburban wanted the alarm boom got this one.
Mom wanted a 99 tahoe. Went to Allen Chevrolet got an alarm install. Same type same functions. I went to the dealer a few years back to get it removed but beck and masten said it was most likely sent to a 3rd party for the install. (Kinda like tints) they were willing to work on it and still could

Gotcha. So like Pinger said, even if you're not seeing a lot of draw from it I would be suspicious of that alarm. Over a long enough period of time they do weird stuff. I've had aftermarket keyless/remote start systems (they're also alarms, but I had them installed so that the alarm functions don't operate) on both of my '97s for over a decade at this point. It's taken that long, but they're both causing random issues like O2 sensor codes and erratic EVO steering behavior now. I'm going to have them removed and go back to the factory keyless system.

I have three of these and one of the smaller Junior models. Love them, they've all worked flawlessly for 10+ years.

I've been wanting one think I'll try it when I switch to full time:) can they also serve as a jumpstart? Also what's the difference between after market keyless and stock keyless? Meaning the soft ware and remotes or just the software. Even though this is a aftermarket alarm it still uses stock keyless system I belive which is why I'm asking.

Nope, slow maintenance charge only. They're only 1.25 Amps max. They do a really nice float charge and you can leave them hooked up as long as you want, though. No danger of overcharging.

In my case the aftermarket remote start/keyless systems involve disconnecting the factory keyless brain box. They use their own set of remotes and the factory ones don't operate any more. Of course I've misplaced all of my factory remotes so I'm going to have to buy four of them from the dealer...

Try lookin on line for oem. Personally I've bought my extras from remotesremotes.com. not impressed with the quality. Crack easy and letters fade easy. I found some from Amazon I was gonna try. Oh and any remotes you get buy silicon covers! They help out in my case from cracking and my son.

I recently bought one from https://www.carandtruckremotes.com

Decent price, and it was an OEM remote. Shipping was a tiny bit slow, but I was quite happy with the remote. Synched up perfectly, and works great. Highly recommended.

I'll try it lol. Btw can you use either remote. Meaning panic button one vs original? I'm curious if I got a panic feature or not lol

Panic button won't function unless you have swapped in a Denali or Escalade body control module. The other buttons will function normally however.
Trust me. I was wanting to do the same. :(
