Yeah I remember when my dad had to row the window down to open the door lol. It was embarrassing .. When I learned the process of replacing It, I was like dang this isn't too bad

I’m just about to the point of putting on my routine maintenance checklist....or NASCARing it and climbing through the window. I think I’m on interior door handle #3 on the driver’s side.

Just teach him the phrase “Bow tie ‘til I die!” I’m technically the third owner although it’s stayed in the family. Mines frustrating at times as well. Temperamental

I'll have to try that lol.. My wifes side of the family is ford. I'm the only one sporting a chevy. Kind of like standing out, plus they dont understand that in a few more years I get to save money on inspection and I actually own a title vs they always get new ones withing 5 to 7 yrs

I think my Chevy is a rebadged Ford at times as much as I’m having to “Fix Or Repair Daily.” Inspections? What are those? Thank God for Alabama!

Well for sure all these stories come with owning a vehicle and treating it right(for the most part) we've thought about getting new sub/yukon but I dont see the value in the price.. plus there not as fun as the older ones in my opinion, my 2cents in daily check under around and inside it and change parts before they break. Saved me a few times. My small example was one day we drove up to my in laws in the country and back to pearland about 100+miles round trip. I was hitting easily 85 to 95mph cause it was late and we needed to get home before work.... next day drove to work then was heading home and my freakin right tire lower ball joint busted out... left me embarrassed at the parking lot... felt lucky though it happened there instead of the night before... ever since then I check everything and if it looks bad I swap it for piece of mind...

I agree that they’re more fun. Heck they’re more economical once you see how easy they are to fix. I took the same approach with my front end a few months back. Hey that stuff happens. At least it wasn’t like what happened with me. I dropped my driveshaft going down the road at night after changing a U-joint. I didn’t press it in all the way.
