I also installed a shorter steering wheel adapter,a 1/2 spacer and a ngr quick release. Had to redrill and tap the ngr quick release to fit the 5 hole steering wheel

Interesting. It looks like you did: Adapter - Spacer - Quick Release. Correct? How tall is your setup?

Is the 1/2" spacer just to provide enough room for for the quick release to clear the spline? If that's the case, I wonder if you could use the A01-56B adapter by Forever Sharp instead. It has a 1" spacer (it's 2" total height) and the 5/6 bolt pattern too.

I did order the forever sharp A01-65B. The (5/6 Bolt pattern) 1/2 spacer serves several purposes. I used the 5 bolt part of the 1/2 spacer to bolt to the forever sharp A01 adapters. Then used the 6 bolt part of the 1/2 spacer to bolt the ngr quick release. I bought the SRK-400CF NGR quick release because its the thinnest but its only available is a 6 bolt pattern. There also wasn’t enough room between the forever sharp A01 adapter and the NGR quick release because of the spline sticking out to much and hitting the horn contact. The only thing I have to take care of is the clocking issue of the steering wheel. Not sure what direction Im going to take yet to fix it. After I take care of the clocking issue I will hook the horn up. First picture Is for those who want to know what we are taking about. The second picture is the old adapter that came with my steering wheel. Third pic is the quick release set up. Last pic is my clocking issue.
If any one is curious the set up below the steering wheel is a left hand wells engburg hand control for the gas and brake. Its cable driven, revs like a motorcycle and you push it toward the dash to stop. It’s really smooth to use. I also rigged up a counter brake on the right of the hand control,so I can apply the brakes to get it in and out of gear.

Sorry, perhaps I wasn't clear. I know you used an A01 adapter but it was the short hub style adapter. The one I was referring to is a two piece 5/6 bolt pattern (see here). I think it would be also cheaper than a short hub+spacer, but give the same depth for the spline and allow connecting to the quick release adapter still. The total depth would be 3.25" with this combo (2" adapter + 1.25" NRG), which appears to be very close if not identical to your total length.

Is the clocking issue shown in the last picture? I'm assuming the wheels are mostly straight but the wheel is turned as shown? That's interesting. I'm curious what the solution will be.

I really dig the setup and this project. How happy are you with the quick release? I've heard good things about the NRG releases before.

Tired of all the problems that I been having lately with my air ride. Not to mention that accuair filed bankruptcy. So look what showed up Wednesday. I desided to do a QA1 coilover conversion.

The only thing I needed to do in the front was convert the RideTech coolride air bags lower control arms. By cutting them with my plasma a round 2” circle in the middle and drilling two 3/8 holes. Because the lower control arm sits a little higher so I had to order the short mustang 2 coilovers.

Also installed new kicker dash speakers. I wanted to replace the ones on the shoulder panel but couldn’t because the plastic trim was to brittle and almost cracked . Then painted and installed an autometer pillar pod
