55" light bar in the bumper. I like it, but I don't. I'm not sure what I want to do to really love it.

Wrap prices will vary depending on the quality of the wrap job. I have a very good shop in Atlanta where the guy does factory work for dealerships and color change wraps on high end cars and he quoted me $300-$400 to the hood on the truck in my sig or to wrap the roof of my Avalanche. Based on that, the quotes you got don’t seem outlandish.
I had heard that trying to do color match with paint on the factory plasti-chrome grill shell is a PITA because the chrome always shows through over time. I wanted a clean look without the bow tie so I put an aftermarket grill shell on that truck that was paint friendly.
If you don’t mind the effort, you could spray paint it yourself. That’s what I did with the matte finish on the hood. In those pics. There is a guy on YouTube who has a channel almost exclusively dedicated to automotive rattle can paint jobs that was helpful for me. (Moore Motorsports James Dguy - https://www.youtube.com/user/xtreamdreams).
The hard part is in the prep if you do it right. The good thing about spray paint is if you screw up, it’s easy to fix and if you want to remove it to have it professionally painted, it’s easy to strip. Its not nearly as durable as professional paint, but it may be your best bet if you don’t want to spend a few hundred bucks on wrap or professional paint. Just remember to take the parts off the truck and tape what you don’t want painted. Worst that could happen is that you’d have to do it again. And if you’re unsure, you could always buy a junk grill to test.

Rojo2,
Thanks alot for the feedback. Wrap knife work is specialty and the person told me it was a bit complicated. As usual others and i always think it is easier than it really is.

I can definitely handle the rattle can work. All in the prep. Appreciate that link really good info. He did some amazing paint work. Rustoleom has to be the best material esp they specialize on goods that are exposed to the elements.

Keep you posted

I back dated my grille on my 94 because I prefer the 88-93 style just because it’s more squared off. Wasn’t too hard, just need a new bumper filler from the 88-93. Also- if anyone knows what the bumper/frame horn lookin things are actually called, i’d love to know because i want to get a new chrome set with the rubber on the front of it just like the old squares have. I’ve seen gmt400s around town with em but I can’t seem to find them anywhere.
