Wipers turn on with left blinker & headlights

I had someone wire my auxillary fan to a toggle switch on my dash. Now when I turn on my left blinker it blinks fast and the wipers turn on. When I turn on the headlights the wipers come on & the left blinker light on the dash illuminates. I had no issues before the job was done. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I'd take it back to the guy, slap him upside the head & tell him to undo all he did, then take it somewhere, other than to a 'someone', that actually knows what they're doing.

I'm definitely taking it back. He's a car audio guy so this is something he should be familiar with. It's just something I'm not familiar with. He recently replaced my dash with no issues.

Ended up being a ground above the fuel vapor canister not being hooked back up.

Glad you found the issue, my suggestion right off the bat would have been a damaged or loose/missing ground.

BTW "car audio guys" vary greatly in quality just like anyone else. I've seen good ones, and terrible ones. Just because they're doing it, doesn't mean they're good at it.

I am having the same issue. I took aprt my grill and removed the headlights to trace the wires and found 2 grounds not connected. Now I need to find bolts to connect and hopefully it fixes the issue. My wipers turn on when I turn the headlights on and the driver side is dim compared to passenger side

You could always look at the diagrams in the factory service manual. It shows wire loom routing, ground locations, a lot of the wire diagnostics were engineered with less dismantling parts to troubleshoot. This is where the factory manual gets you ahead of the problem, rather than guessing, and wasted labor.
