My 1993 G20 had a 4L60E. PWM Solenoid was added in 1995, per your service manual pic.

Wikipedia says otherwise...
The TH700R4 was renamed "4L60" (RPO MD8) following the new General Motors naming convention when the electronic version, 4L60E (RPO M30), was phased in as the 4L60 was being phased out. This happened in 1993 for trucks, vans, and SUVs, and 1994 for rear wheel drive passenger cars.

The gear right in front of the reluctor on the shaft is the cable drive gear, if equipped, yes the governor is on up in the transmission, I just know that if it has a cable, it's not controlled by the computer

They have the cable in 94, TV cable, 95 models is when it was eliminated
You are incorrect. I had a 94 and it had no tv cable or speedometer cable. Just because the manuals you posted have the 700r4/4l60 to 93 doesn't mean that our trucks had them.

If it was a 94, and didn't have a TV cable, it was a 400/3L80, it had a vacuum line that draws from intake, as far as speedometer, that was dependent on the application if it had a cable or used the speed sensor rotor, the electric signal/VSS output, and as far as the books, they cover them to 2002 to include the 4L65 even. I just know that if they have the throttle valve cable, by the dipstick, it's not a electronic controlled unit , if they have the big electric plug behind the dipstick, it's computer controlled,
