It was pretty violent wheel hop, the previous owner removed the overload and one leaf in attempt to lower it. It's still that way and I then installed a flip kit.

I have a parts truck so this week I am swapping out the axle and leafs so wheel hop shouldn't be much of a problem.

I use the non-greasable super strength joints for this very reason. Im sure the U-joint let go and when it slammed into the pinion yoke and broke it. I have seen severe trans damage from this kind of shock. Hope yours is ok.

I have a t56 installed and I am really praying I didn't damage it or the driveshaft.

Hated the rear suspension in mine with no overload. I can only imagine what yours was like with a leaf removed too.
Here's a tip. When wheel hop happens, Let. Up. Off. The. Skinny. Pedal. Lol!
Thanks Whipped96! Never knew!

I was doing a nice little burnout and was accelerating out of it and started wheel hopping, by the time I tried to correct the hop it exploded lol. Took a chunk out of the asphalt too, I just hope there's nothing else screwed up.

I was refering to damaging an auto trans, did not realize yours was a manual. With that being said, I'd check over that driveshaft good, but hopefully it didn hurt anything.

O man, sonofabitch I hate pulled leafs in a dropped truck, just about as bad as torched coils. I've got the full original C2500LD pack in my black '94.
