I just installed KYP MonoMaxx shocks on my 97 Z71 with the 14 bolt rear and heavy springs. I tow a lot with this truck and I love how these shocks control the suspension under a load. They are a little stiffer than the Bilsteins but I love them... they are also good for 2-3"
