I think the standard was 700R4/4L60/4L60e for the 2500LD trucks. However, 88-89 trucks were still likely to have a TH400 (3L80), but by 90 I think they were getting phased out.8th digit of the VIN is a K. 5.7 TBI, I assume a TH400?
