Hi, everyone! My name is Don and I do not have an OBS Chevy/GMC! What I do have is a buddy that has a 1993 S10 he wantes to swap a 5.7 TBI LO5 and 5 speed into in California (GASP), which means he needs to be smog legal. What I am looking for is an example of a California emissions 5.7 5 speed light duty truck from 1993-1995 and I cannot find any evidence this configuration was built.

I'll start a thread after I do more searching, but in the interim, I wanted to say hi! I am not completely uncultured, as I have many GM vehicles, including a Full Convertible 1975 K5 Blazer, a 1969 Chevelle Malibu, and a 1969 Nova. I'm looking forward to learning the particulars of TBI California emissions form ya'll.

I was *this* close to getting a barn door 2 dr Blazer/Tahoe, but then I had never owned a convertible before, lol

TBI for your earlier non-smog vehicles should be a non-issue,the later stuff will have to be compliant for the years they were made. 93 S-10 should only need a catalytic convertor. The Blazer may need A.I.R.
