if whoever mounted them put them a little lower they would light up better but the current placement doesn't have them lined up with the bulb very well. either way that's definitely old school man, I can dig it

So are they supposed to be right on the bulb? I think they could look pretty bad ass. It is definitely different

In that case I may have to either put in a second set or find a new pair of rear tail lights and put them in. What do you guys think? Second set, new stock tail lights, or a set of smoked tail lights with a set, or tiny the tail lights with them in.

I wouldn't do a second set. If you decide these aren't what you want just replace the lense.
