Vinyl Wrap vs Paint Job

In my idea a decent paint job would surely last longer and protects better compared with vinyl which are just for temporary solutions.

How bad is the paint thats there? Is the clear coat peeling or extremely thin? I do a lot of paint correction work. That is another option that is much cheaper then vinyl or repainting. Just a thought. I good professional detailer can do a lot for an older car, I get lots of comments on my 96 Tahoe. Something to think about.
