Nope. The running lights circuit opens when the corresponding turn signal comes on.
I'm not sure what you mean, my running lights are always on..?

If I understood correctly he wants to keep all of the lights that flash stock to flash just wants to do the upper and make it so it don't flash, easy to do just have to use a little extra wire to do it, for the park lamp there is 3 wires to the socket, one is constant, one is for the flasher, one is ground, just splice in to the constant and the ground and it will only be a marker light
I see what you are saying. The corner lights are wired in with the parking/bumper lights. When you hit the turn signal the bumper and corner light turn off when the turn signal (brighter filament) comes on. I'm guessing this is to prevent having two filaments going at once in the bulbs and popping or melting the glass from. The heat. That also explains why the housing goes dark if the turn signals are burnt out but the parking lights work. You could use a relay system on both sides that will keep the bulbs on all the time but if the power back feeds you could go through park/turn/bumper light bulbs often. Not exactly what she wants...
I'm a bit confused on the wires you mentioned, my park lamps don't flash? Why would the park light have a wire for a flasher? I'll have to check how mine is when I get it back.
Here's what I'd like to do:

I like the way it looks on pics when the corners are lit up so I'd like to have it like that all the time.
So I decided to make my upper corner lights functional marker lights, still got a little bit of work to do but I got the lights done so I'll post up some pics and how I did this.
I had an extra set of clear corners that the lenses were broke on so I decided these were good lights to sacrifice

I used a razor to cut these up while I was sitting at home bored

Then I used the pieces I cut out as a template to mark my upper corners

While I was at work I used the dremel and cut the hole in one light then decided the razor worked better

Then I used an epoxy we have at work to glue the pieces I cut out onto the light

Thats all I have done for now but within the next two days I should get the grill done and will post more pics at that time
Did this a month back or so but stubbled onto this thread and thought I should share my little project. I posted it on another forum but hey why not post it here on gmt400 right?

Did you figure it out or are you still interested in info?I know it's a really old ass thread, and I hope to get a reply. But did you run any resistors in this set up, or did you splice right into the factory harness, with no resistors?
