Transmissions issue

Hi everyone, I'm new here to the site and GMT400's. Last week I bought a '92 Chevy Z71. It runs and drives good but it has no reverse. Every other gear works fine. The fluid level is good and red I was wondering if it needs a new transmission or needs it rebuilt. Money's kinda hard so I really can't afford a new or get one rebuilt. What is needed to be done to get reverse back? Thanks for the help

Hopefully this is useful, even though I'm not sure if a 1992 has 700R4 or 4L60E, but they are almost identical internally except the 4L60E is computer controlled while the 700R4 is not.

92 is a 4l60 no e, basically a 700r4
