Hey fellas, I picked up a 93 c1500 ecsb last year and started asking questions/poking around about lift possibilities and tire sizes. I thought I was set on a CM 4" spindle, 2" block and was gonna pull the trigger this year but now that I am revisiting the idea I think I'll need to put 33's on it as anything smaller won't give me the proportioned look I want. The problem though is that the total cost of 33s and the lift kit is quite a bit more than I want to spend. So now I am thinking of another option... can you make some recommendations?

Basically I would like to level the truck, and beef the tires up a bit as I think the stock size ones look small. If I lift/level the front 2", what's the biggest tire I could run on my stock 15 wheels and what extra height would I gain from it? Also, does it ever make sense to go with a bigger wheel itself? Say upsize to a 16" or 17". Is there a reason for/against that, or is it just esthetics because overall diameter is what matters when it comes to fitting in the front wells? I am not against minor trimming either if necessary.

Ok first wheel diameter wont make any difference as the outside diameter is still the same. You could always do a body lift theyre very cheap. Some people dont like um but if done right they can look good. If you just level the front id say you could run 265s without trimming

oK this is probably the right thread for this stupiod question I have.. I have a 2000 ccsb c 2500.. id like to know if I jusat buy lift blocks like 2 inch and 2 inch taller coil springs..would I have to change out anything else like front end parts(shocks..etc) or am I good to go with that much taller spring on the front..also would the lift block make the ride rougher.. because its pretty rough already.. a lot of people on here said I can take the over load spring off and that will improve the ride...second question can I still just buy a lift block if I take off the overload?

I've got a quick question about my CV angle. I have read that if more than two of the ribs are touching that it's too steep of an angle for them. Does that only apply to OEM shafts? The reason I ask is that when I lifted my truck I replaced the stockers with Cardone ones and the angle doesn't look too bad. Heck, the stock ones were at a steeper angle and only two ribs were ever in contact with each other. I've attached a pic of where they sit now. Can I crank the torsion bars anymore or should I leave them where they're at? I'd like to level the truck a bit more if possible.

Another question...How do I prevent the shock from coming into contact with the upper control arm? The driver's side has a noticeable dent and the passenger side has worn paint. Is it common with the RCX lift to have this issue?

quick question that i figured there was no sense in making a whole thread over it. my question is will the stock front springs from a 2wd 6.5 turbo dually lift the front of my tahoe over its stock height or would 2 inch springs be the better way to go. reason for me asking is i can get c3500 springs much cheaper than i can get aftermarket lift springs.

another thing if i were to lift my 2wd tahoe 2 inches in the front could i run 285s with factory offset and no trimming. street truck i don't mind it rubbing a little bit, i drive her pretty easy as is.
