I'm getting my lift for christmas and thought I'd buy tires as a present for myself. I'm looking at Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs or Hankook Dynapro MT. Any Reviews, opinions, etc...?

Man, haven't seen you on in a while. What lift you decided on getting? Everyone on here loves the Duratracs, but my buddy's company truck has them and he hates them, said there loud and don't last or do good in mud. But that's on a dodge 2500 but he does have E range tires. And I've heard nothing but good things about the hankook m/ts but I personally don't care for the way they look. But I would choose the hankooks over the duratracs.

Ok. They are pretty close to the same price online. I just decided on 2" coils and a 2" aal. Our internet has been down and I haven't had anywhere to go to get on. It's been off and on for the past couple of weeks.

Oh I see. Planning on getting 31's or 32's?

My uncle ran the dynapros on his 2008 GMC Sierra. Not sure of rim size yada yada yada but he said they were by far his favorite tire. He does mostly highway and street driving and said the noise isn't too bad. If I wasn't looking for a mud tire I'd most likely get these.

Can you get away with trimming the fenders for 305/70/r16 on 10 inch wide rims or do you need a lift for a 97 chevy k3500? Would 3 inch body lift do it?

depends on the backspacking if you'll rub on the frame or not. you'll want to crank the front as well. a 3" body lift will do it no problem, a 2" will work as well

ive got a 97 k35 and with 33x12-50 on a 9.75 wheel or a 305 on a 10 wheel both with 4.5 backspacing, get the sawzall out cause your going to hit hard on the inside lip of the front fender/flare if ya beat on it offroad. itll rub just turning in a inclined driveway with a berm at the end. this is with 2'' bl and about all the crank ya want. cut and hammer the fenders and you'll be fine no issue with frame clearance.

so i can never find a serious answer to this but 285's are 33's, 305's are 35? i feel like im wrong on that

285, 305, and 315 are actually the width. But a 285/75r16 is roughly a 33/11.50r16, a 305/70r16 is roughly a 33/12.50r16 and a 315/75r16 is roughly a 35/12.50r16.
