That info should be in the service manual.

I've been on here for awhile and had never seen a 96+ service manual. I went looking, and no wonder... the thread title is a little misleading now. I had seen this thread dozens of times, but never even clicked on it due to the "88-95" title.

if your local library participates in the WorldCat innerlibrary Loan program, you might be able to checkout those books if another library that has them participates. I was able to checkout the Mike Mavrigian books: How to rebuild big-block Chevy engines : 1991-2000 Gen V & Gen VI & Rebuilding Gen V Gen VI big-block Chevy engines : how to rebuild Generation V (1991-1995) and Generation VI (1996-present) engines to stock specification
