Curious, did you land on the alternator from the battery and then to the starter, or go directly to the starter?

Everything has its own run of wire to/from the battery..... starter, fuel pump, alternator, air pump, ecu, fuse box, and switch/relay panel.

Are you doing anything as far as sound deadening or heat insulation?

I haven't really thought about that, to be honest!

I do have a dash that I thought i might try to gut and fit around the roll cage, though, that might be fantasy thinking! Haha

I ask because you mentioned driving it some, and you're making enough power that a few extra lbs in creature comforts ain't gonna hurt.

I vote skip the insulation in favor of weight reduction, but I'm not the one driving it. I'm sure it wouldn't make a huge difference in weight either way, but every little bit helps. Plus I'm lazy and this sounds like a good excuse to do less work.

If you do install some, it would be interesting to weigh the roll of material before and after to see how much extra weight you added.

Typically I'd agree, but he's gonna be making around 2k hp and 15 extra lbs of weight ain't gonna slow it down enough to make a difference, but it will make it tolerable to drive a few miles.
