Hey Guys,
I just picked up a storage box for my truck, I am missing the bolt that goes from the box to fender or body
Anyone have the bolt information handy?

I believe its a metric 8x1.25 but its been awhile since I put one in. If there isn't a nut clipped in the fender then can use whatever size you come up with a nut for. Some have the nut and some don't. The factory bolt is about an inch long.

Thanks guys. I hope it will work with my 95 Sierra.
It may take a little bit of modding, but you oughta be able to get it installed. The 96-98 inner fenders are molded in plastic and have a provision for the box or the second battery tray. There's a metal speed nut in the inside of the fender for the bolt you're missing. IIRC it's a 8mm x 25mm as noted, but I haven't pulled one in a few months and I'm not where my parts stash is(so I can't look at the boxes I have).

A lot of the body and interior parts are put together with 7mm head and 10mm head sheet metal screws..... always need those sizes of nut drivers and sockets when working on our trucks.

Is the charcoal canister different for trucks with no storage box? I see a flat spot on the inner fender where I’m guessing the hole gets drilled into? I see the hole on the fender where the bolt and but can go, it just seems like the canister would be in the way?
