Blue Streak cap, that's what I'm talking about! Hope you have the blue rotor too, definitely needed on the coil in cap HEI!

I have an AC Delco on there now. The Blue Streak came with the motor and it was pretty used up. I plan on going DIS eventually.

Could you tell me what exactly you got the overhead console out of? I can get a 241-02217 with is the short console with just has the map lights and a storage compartment which is really all I need. I like the look of the longer one you used but all I'm interested in wiring up would be the lights anyway. Thanks.

The console came out of a 1999 Yukon Denali. Note the larger front opening for the rear climate control, the truck one has a smaller one.

The next thing that needed work was the transfer case. I wanted to rebuild it because the rear seal leaked all the time and it was sometimes stubborn going into 4HI. It was so greasy I put it in a trash bag to carry it. On teardown the shift fork looked pretty bad.

I cleaned the grime off the case in my laundry sink with GOOP and some stainless brushes. Then I ordered up a rebuild kit and a couple 4L80E pieces from Cobra Transmission.
